I hit 100 followers in 3 days
If that is your goal, you can too!

Hitting 100 followers is among the first few goals of most Medium writers for obvious reasons. Getting paid to do something you love is one of the best feelings ever! And the faster you can get there, the bigger the motivation to take risks and better yourself will be. So here’s my story on how I created a meaningful network around me and reached that milestone within 3 days.
- Publish your first Medium article. I know this might sound a little scary but if you don’t have something to share, your potential followers will find it difficult to find a reason to follow you. So don’t overthink, just publish the draft you’ve been looking at for days :P
- Browse articles using the keywords “100 followers” and click on the most recently published ones. Emphasis on the most recently published articles here. Since the article turnover rate in Medium is really high, you need to find articles that have traction.
- Read the articles and introduce yourself in the comments section. You can talk about who you are, what you love to write about, and finally insert a link to your Medium article.
- Follow the author and the writers in the comments section. Don’t forget to put a small reply and tell them that you have followed them! You can link your Medium article again in the reply if you want.
- If other writers have shared their articles in the comments, don’t forget to check them out :) To build a genuine network, we need to support and lift each other up by reading their work and leaving constructive feedback and encouragement!
- Repeat this process with as many “100 followers” articles as you can! BUT BEWARE!!! Sometimes Medium puts a limit to the maximum number of comments you can post in a day! After you reach that threshold, your comments will be saved as drafts instead of being published in the comments section. If you cannot see your comment after you hit “respond”, that means you have reached your commenting limit for the day. Don’t worry though! It will go away in 24 hours!
AND FINALLY good luck!
